Iraqi Suicide Bomber Hits US Occupation's Convoy In Baghdad, Wounds FiveBy Sanjay Sharma, Section Suicide Bombers
A suicide car bomb hit a US military convoy in western Baghdad on Friday, killing the bomber and wounding five Iraqi civilians, police and witnesses said. Parts of human flesh were scattered at the scene and black smoke rose over the area as several cars were charred, they said. A US Humvee was lightly damaged.
The bomber blew up a booby-trapped vehicle at the US convoy at about 9:40 a.m. (0540 GMT) in Mansur district in western Baghdad, witnesses told Xinhua. Police said at the scene that the bomber was the only one killed in the attack. There was no immediate information about any US casualties from the military.
